Privacy Policy

Devora is designed as an offline development learning and reference app. This policy explains how the app handles information and the privacy choices available to you.

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to the Devora mobile application (“Devora”, “the app”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). Devora provides offline educational content, development references, quizzes, roadmaps, projects, glossary material, bookmarks, learning progress, and related productivity features.

By installing or using Devora, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

Devora does not require an account and is not designed to collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photographs, payment information, or government identification.

Devora does not sell personal information and does not use personal information for targeted advertising.

3. Information Stored on Your Device

To provide app features, Devora may store limited app-related data locally on your device, including:

  • onboarding completion status;
  • bookmarked lessons or reference items;
  • quiz results and learning progress;
  • daily learning goals;
  • theme, text-size, and display preferences; and
  • other settings required for the app to function.

This information remains on your device unless you remove it by clearing the app’s storage, resetting relevant settings, or uninstalling the app.

4. Internet Access and Data Transmission

Devora is designed to provide its core learning content offline. The current release does not require you to create an online profile or upload your learning activity to our servers.

If a future version introduces an optional online feature, this Privacy Policy will be updated before that feature is made available, and any required permissions or disclosures will be presented clearly.

5. Advertising, Analytics, and Tracking

Devora does not include third-party advertising SDKs, behavioural analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking technologies in its current release.

We do not build advertising profiles, serve personalised advertisements, or share app activity with data brokers.

6. Permissions

Devora is designed to operate without dangerous or unnecessary device permissions. The app does not need access to your contacts, microphone, camera, call logs, SMS messages, or precise location for its core functionality.

Android or Google Play may display technical permissions that are automatically included by the app framework or operating system. Such permissions are used only when required for normal app operation and are not used to collect personal information.

7. Third-Party Services

The current Devora release is not designed to send personal data to third-party advertising, analytics, or social-media services.

The app is distributed through Google Play. Google may process information related to app downloads, purchases, device security, crash reporting, or Play services under Google’s own terms and privacy policies. That processing is controlled by Google and is separate from Devora’s local app functionality.

8. Data Sharing and Sale

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Because Devora does not maintain user accounts or collect personal learning profiles on our servers, we do not share such information with advertisers or data brokers.

We may disclose information only when legally required, necessary to protect rights or safety, or required to investigate fraud or security issues. In ordinary use, Devora does not possess personal user data to disclose.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Locally stored app settings and learning progress remain on your device until you delete them. You can generally remove this data by:

  • using any available reset or clear-progress feature in the app;
  • clearing Devora’s storage through Android settings; or
  • uninstalling the app.

Devora does not maintain a remote user account database that requires a separate account-deletion request.

10. Children’s Privacy

Devora is an educational reference application and is not intended to collect personal information from children. The app does not ask users to create accounts, submit personal details, or participate in targeted advertising.

If you believe that personal information has been provided to us by a child, please contact us so the matter can be reviewed.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures when designing and maintaining Devora. Keeping core information locally on the user’s device reduces many risks associated with remote data collection.

No device, application, or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should keep their device, Android version, and Google Play security updates current.

12. International Users

Devora may be available in multiple countries. Because the current app is offline-first and does not maintain user accounts, personal information is not ordinarily transferred by Devora to external servers in another country.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Devora’s features, legal requirements, or data practices change. The revised policy will be published with a new effective date.

Material changes affecting user privacy will be disclosed through an appropriate notice in the app, store listing, or official policy page where required.
